OSCR Member: Macarena Lara
Macarena Lara is a researcher at ErasmusX, a creative team that leads education innovation at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her research interests include education, innovation, societal impact and public health. She uses scientific research to analyze and evaluate innovative projects and relevant problems in society.
Formerly, she worked in education innovation at the Netherlands Institute for Health Sciences (NIHES) and as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Epidemiology at Erasmus MC. She was also an Assistant Professor at the University of Chile and a thesis advisor in the Doctorate of Educational Science Program at Arturo Prat University of Chile.
Her research experience stretches across all phases of a scientific study including study design and planning, training and supervision of data collection, field work, instrument design and validation, data analysis and interpretation, manuscript preparation, knowledge translation and dissemination of results.
